Oatmeal Cookies October 16, 2022August 19, 2023 I am so excited to write this recipe for all of you! Since we all have a special corner for sweets and dessert in our stomach after the last meal of the day, it is important to have something super yummy yet healthy. I tried this healthy dessert recipe back in 2016 and after that this is my go to dessert whenever I feel like not starving myself for dessert while losing weight. Oatmeal cookies can never disappoint anyone and they are liked by kids and adults both. Ever since I tried these cookies I make them all the time. The good part of this recipe is that it is quick, easy and yummy! These cookies may look boring but trust me they are yummy and addictive. You can prepare the dough for around 30 to 50 cookies and freeze it for later use. For this I would recommend you to line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet and slightly flatten each dough ball of cookie. Freeze for around 2 hours and transfer the semi-frozen cookies in to a large freezer bag. To make your oatmeal cookies chewier make sure to use old-fashioned rolled oats. Oats are considered as one of the healthiest grains in the world, with a great amount of nutrients like vitamins, fiber, minerals and antioxidants. Researchers have confirmed the fact that oats can play a vital role in losing weight and lowering blood sugar levels. Some researches also indicates that easting oats can protect people from developing asthma and order heart diseases. It also decreases gastrointestinal symptoms and aids digestion. While considering all the health benefits of oats, let’s not forget the major purpose served by this recipe, that is to fulfil the sweet cravings while staying healthy and losing weight. You can also add chocolate chip or other garnishing for children and people who want to gain weight. Ingredients: All-purpose flour Whole rolled oats Baking powder or Baking Soda Brown sugar Sea salt Cinnamon and vanilla extract Melted butter 1 large egg Walnuts and other dry fruits Instructions: In one bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients and whisk the wet ingredients in another bowl. Mix the both wet and dry ingredients together. Fold in the oats, raisins, and walnuts to prepare a thick mixture. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes. Once the dough is set, roll it into balls. Bake the balls at 350 degrees for 10-11 minutes, until they turn golden brown. After taking the cookies out from the oven, leave them on the hot baking sheet for 5 minutes.
