  • In a separate saucepan, add brown sugar, 1 cup of cider vinegar, white sugar, and lemon juice, then bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook it until it is bubbling. Remove from the heat and let it cool for around 5 minutes.
  • Pour the brown sugar mixture into the fruit mixture. Add chili, onion, ginger, salt, cinnamon stick, and mustard seeds. Simmer it for around 45 minutes. Then, remove the cinnamon stick.
  • Pour the mixture into a blender or food processor. Process it until it is smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a saucepan, and simmer it until it is thickening.
  • Prepare the canning jar. Sterilize it first by putting it in boiling water.
  • Next, pour the duck sauce into the jar and let it cool in a room temperature. Then, tighten the cap and store it in the refrigerator for around 2 weeks before using.
