It is always good to have brunch in a nice cafe. Especially if you do it with loved ones like your soulmate, friends, or family. Yesterday I went to Gardenworld Licenced Cafe in Braeside, Melbourne. I fell in love with its aesthetic design and vibe. Although I’ve been to many other cafes or restaurants in Melbourne, I can easily recommend Gardenworld Licenced Cafe to anyone who asks for a cafe recommendation. Yes, as soon as I stepped inside the cafe, I knew I had to make a good review of the cafe. In this article, I will give you an in-depth review of Gardenworld Licenced Cafe and the full menu they offer.

Gardenworld Licenced Cafe Location Details

Gardenworld Licenced Cafe is located in Braeside, Melbourne. The full address is 810 Springvale Rd, Braeside, Victoria 3195. It is open every day from 9 AM until 4 PM. For weekends, they open a bit longer until 4.30 PM. I noticed that many cafes or restaurants in Melbourne, especially in the suburban areas, close very soon. I am from Indonesia, and most cafes are open until 9 or even 10 PM in Indonesia. While in Melbourne, it is not a surprise to see cafes close at 5 or even 4 PM. I guess people in Melbourne prioritize their work-life balance, which is good of course.

Anyway, Gardenworld Licenced Cafe is located very near to a bus stop. This makes it convenient for you if you want to use public transportation and don’t drive your vehicle. To get to Gardenworld Licenced Cafe, you can ride bus number 902 and get off at Keylana Dr/Springvale Rd bus stop station. If you ride bus number 709, you can stop at Keylana Dr bus stop station. I feel like it is always a plus point when a restaurant is close to a bus stop or a train station, although I do drive my car.

Gardenworld Licenced Cafe Full Menu (Food and Drink)

They have a lot of options when it comes to food and drinks. Most of them are Western fusion types of food. You can see the full menu on their website or from the photos that I took.

As you can see, the price of the food ranges from around AUD 20 to AUD 30. I think it is not too expensive, considering the cafe looks good and feels good. The decoration of Gardenworld Licenced Cafe is very aesthetically pleasing. So it feels nice to sit and talk for hours at the cafe.

When coming to this type of cafe or restaurant, I always look for food that I don’t cook at home or food that I can’t make myself (or haven’t tried to make myself, at least). I also love cheese, so I usually order something with cheese in it. Because of that, I was torn between choosing the creamy smoked salmon pasta or creamy carbonara with bacon and wine. I was interested in the creamy smoked salmon pasta because I loved creamy pasta and salmon was healthy. However, I was interested in creamy carbonara pasta because it was creamy and had bacon, which was something I don’t normally eat at home.

In the end, I chose to order creamy carbonara pasta with bacon and wine. They have different types of pasta, and I chose gnocchi. The pasta was creamy but not overwhelmingly creamy. It was tasty and satisfied my craving for a creamy dish. It also came with 2 slices of greenery and 2 slices of bread. The bread completed the pasta. Especially when I ate the bread with the cream. Wow, perfection! Just like any other restaurant in Melbourne, the portion was humongous (for my standard of appetite). I ended up only eating half of it although I would love to devour them all at once. Don’t worry, I didn’t throw the rest. I asked for a takeaway box for the leftover pasta. My husband ate them when I was back at home.

My friend ordered a one-pan omelette. I am not sure which one to be exact, but looking at the photo, I think it was the prawn omelette. She also loved what she ordered. It is a comfort food for her. The omelette came with a bowl of salad, which is beneficial for our health.

If you love creamy pasta, I do recommend the creamy carbonara with bacon and wine. You will love it! If you like simple and healthy food, you might want to try the one-pan prawn omelette. It will satisfy your craving.

What is the recommended drink at Gardenworld Licenced Cafe?

I personally rarely order any drink whenever I am at a restaurant. I feel like I can be full just by eating the food. Also, water is my favorite beverage. So in Gardenworld Licenced Cafe I just drink the free water that they provide for free. My friend though, ordered a cup of coffee. I am not sure what type of coffee she ordered so I can’t really recommend you any drink from my personal experience.

They also have different types of soft drinks. As you can see from the picture above. I am not a big fan of sodas, but if you love sodas, there are plenty to choose.

How is the vibe at Gardenworld Licenced Cafe?

The cafe is designed very thoughtfully. It has a beautiful decoration in every corner. It feels has a cottagecore style. If you love countryside-vibe type of decoration, you will love Gardenworld Licenced Cafe. Even the way they display some of their food looks very lovely. Look at those flowers among those foods! It is very pleasing to see.

I was also mesmerized by one of the lamps they put in front of the cashier. It somehow resembled a skirt and legs. I think it looks very cool. It is a type of decoration that you wouldn’t find easily in other restaurants. I really appreciate the way they pay attention to every little detail of the decoration. If you love something with a vintage or cottagecore vibe, you will love every corner of Gardenworld Licenced Cafe.

Speaking of decoration, they also sell them out! So if you love any of the stuff you see, you can ask the staff because maybe it is available for sale.

I went to the cafe at 1.40 PM, which was already past lunchtime. However, the cafe was still full of people. I believe it is one of the most popular cafes in Braeside, Melbourne. Gardenworld Licenced Cafe has indoor and semi-outdoor spaces. I chose to sit in the indoor space under the skylight. The weather was really good at that time and I really enjoyed my time with my friend there.

Overall, I think Gardenworld Licenced Cafe is a good restaurant or cafe to chill. It is also a great place to hold special events like bridal shower celebrations, birthday lunches or dinners, engagement parties, or even wedding ceremonies.
