Dandenong Club Restaurant Review, Menu, and Reservation Info September 12, 2023September 12, 2023 Melbourne is a place of good restaurants. Perfect place if you are a foodie like me. There are several restaurants in Melbourne that I’ve tried and reviewed. So far, all of them are good restaurants. I love the food and the vibe. In this article, I will fully review the Dandenong Club restaurant. I will also give you information about the menu and the reservation info for Dandenong Club restaurant. Dandenong Club is actually a place for people to play adult games. It has been a part of the Dandenong community since 1955. However, there is also one restaurant inside the Dandenong Club building. The restaurant is open every day. For lunch, the Dandenong Club restaurant is open every Sunday until Friday from 11.30 AM to 2.00 PM. For dinner, it opens every Sunday until Wednesday from 5.30 PM to 8.30 PM and Thursday until Saturday from 5.30 PM to 9.00 PM. The Dandenong Club is located at 1579 Heatherton Road, Dandenong North, Victoria, 3175. What food do they serve at Dandenong Club Restaurant? They have a lot of food options. From appetizers, main course, soup, salad, steak, dessert, and many more. You can see the menu of Dandenong Club restaurant here. However, I think the physical menu is a bit different from the menu they show online. What food to order at Dandenong Club Restaurant? I went with my husband, so we ordered 2 main courses. For me, I ordered a 300-gram porterhouse steak with chips and salad. For the sauce, they have green pepper, creamy mushroom, and rich brown gravy. I chose the creamy mushroom sauce because I was expecting the sauce to be cheesy type of creamy. However, turned out the mushroom sauce was not cheesy at all. I still love it though! The steak was available in 2 different types, medium or well-done. I usually order a well-done steak, but at that time I was curious to try the medium one. The meat was juicy, soft, and tender. It was not the best steak I’ve tried, but I still enjoy eating it. The steak came with chips (or some people call it french fries) and salad. I love the chips. It was soft and warm. Perfect to be eaten with the steak. The chips were sprinkled with salt. The restaurant also had separate salt and pepper in case you want more of them. For the salad, it was okay. I’ve never a big fan of vegetables, but I could finish the salad. This means it tasted good, even for someone who usually doesn’t eat salad. The salad consists of some greenery, red onions, tomato, cucumber, and some other vegetables. As I stated before, we ordered 2 main courses. While I ordered a 300-gram porterhouse steak with chips and salad, my husband ordered a peri-peri chicken burger. He knew he wanted to order a burger, however, he didn’t know which burger to order since there were several burger options. Then he asked the waiter which burger she would recommend. In the end, the waiter recommended the peri peri chicken burger as it was their new menu. Peri peri chicken burger consists of burger buns, chicken fillet, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and their signature sauce. The burger also came with a bucket of chips or french fries. For me, the burger tasted okay. It was not the best burger I’ve tried but also not the worst one. If you love chicken burgers, you might want to try Dandenong Club’s peri-peri chicken burger. Will I order 300-gram porterhouse steak again? Probably not. I am more willing to try their other food. How about my husband, do I think he will order a peri-peri chicken burger again? I think he will not. He loves burgers but probably he would prefer a beef burger, instead of a chicken burger. What food to order at Dandenong Club Restaurant? They have many options for drinks. However, I didn’t order any drinks. They serve free tap water and I was content with it. So I just consumed the free tap water. But if you love coffee, I think a cappuccino would be a good option for you. Or maybe you can try their hot chocolate if you’re not a big fan of coffee. How is the waiting time at Dandenong Club Restaurant? They served the food really fast. I think they served our food in less than 10 minutes. That is especially great if you’re very hungry and need the food to be served really fast. What is the food price range at Dandenong Club Restaurant? The starters start from under AUD 10 until around AUD 20. While the main course starts from around AUD 20 until AUD 40. If you only want to eat salad, they’re only around AUD 20. For the beverages, they’re just around AUD 5. In general, I think the price of Dandenong Club restaurant is reasonable. It is not too expensive and won’t break your bank. How is the vibe at Dandenong Club Restaurant? Dandenong Club restaurant has a good vibe. The decoration makes the restaurant feel like it is inside a hotel. The flooring of the restaurant is made out of a carpet which makes it feel like an old-school restaurant. The restaurant has been running in business since 1955 and the vibe inside feels like we’re traveling back in time. Not in a bad way of course. I visited the restaurant on Sunday at around 11 AM. It was not lunch time yet, so there were no people at all when we first entered the restaurant. We took quite a bit of time to choose the food from the menu, and when it was around 11.15, people started to come. Most people that came at that time were seniors. I think it is because the restaurant is located beside the adult game center, so probably after they eat lunch or dinner, they play at the gaming center. There is one thing that you have to keep in your mind. Every visitor who enters the Dandenong Club must submit their driver’s license or passport. I think it is because of the age restriction in the gaming center section. They want to make sure that you are within the legal age when you enter that place. So that is my conclusion for the review of Dandenong Club restaurant. If you are looking for a new restaurant to eat lunch and dinner, Dandenong Club restaurant might be a good choice for you.
